An ideal snack or special treat.
Makes 12 standard or 24 mini muffins
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup (230mL) prepared Heinz Nurture ToddlerŽ
2 x 120g cans Heinz Pureed Pears (or 1 cup stewed pears)
100g butter (melted)
Method
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda
and ground ginger into a bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well
in the centre.
- Beat together egg, Heinz Nurture ToddlerŽ
Milk and Heinz Pears.
- Stir into dry ingredients alternately
with melted butter.
- Divide mixture evenly between 12 greased
muffin tins (or 24 mini muffin tins)
- Bake at 220°C for 15-18 minutes or
until well risen and cooked. Bake mini muffins for approx
10 minutes.
- Leave in tin for 5 minutes before turning
onto a wire rack to cool.
