New Advanced Formulation - Heinz® Nurture Gold Starter™ 1
Heinz® Nurture Gold Starter™ 1 infant formula has been improved to help your baby settle after feeding.
What has changed?
- Alpha lactalbumin, the main whey protein in breast milk, is added to make the formula easier to digest
- Prebiotic glacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) is added to help produce softer, more regular bowel motions and help produce healthy gut bacteria
- Improved nucleotide blend to assist digestion and help produce healthy gut bacteria.
These changes make it easier to digest, encourage softer and more regular bowel motions and help to produce healthy gut bacteria.
Will my baby notice any difference with the improved formula?
While most babies won’t notice a difference, others may and these babies will require a period of adjustment which is quite normal. Most will settle within a few days to a week, as they get used to the formula, so it’s important to keep offering the formula.
Minor temporary symptoms that can occur with dietary change include a change in bowel habit such as looser or more frequent stools and changes in digestion such as more wind or spilling. The taste of the formula will be slightly different but most babies won’t notice the slight change in taste.
How do I change my baby from the current formula to the new improved formula?
All babies are different and while some may accept the change straight away, others may require a more gradual introduction.
Tips for gradually introducing the new formula:-
- Ensure you have enough of baby’s previous Heinz® Nurture formula on hand- approximately one weeks worth
- Gradually replace one feed with the new formula on the first day of changeover, then 2 feeds on day 2 and continue until baby has made the full transition to the new formula. This may take a week. Replace the daily feeds first, leaving the night feeds till last
How will I know that the product I am buying is the new formulation?
The new formulation will have the new look design as shown on the home page. The lid on the new can will advise you that it contains the new and improved formulation.
